Cross-Linked Elastomeric Roof Coating
SureCoat is a water-based single-component, cross-linked, Hybrid Class 1 waterproofer that provides seamless protection and is durable enough to protect against ponding water on flat and low-sloped roofs. SureCoat has been engineered with the highest grade raw materials and cross linked resins to provide increased durability and elasticity compared to traditional acrylic roof coatings. With its high reflectivity and low conductivity characteristics, SureCoat can help reduce energy costs and renew the life-span of existing roofing systems. SureCoat is fast drying with excellent adhesion properties and is compatible with a variety of substrates.
SureCoat is the roof coating component of the SureCoat Roof System (SCRS). The SCRS has a renewable warranty option available only through an Approved Contractor. The SureCoat roof warranty covers areas of ponding water on flat and low-sloped roofing and is renewable for as long as a building is in use. Contact a SureCoat Product Specialist for details.
SureCoat was specifically engineered to repair, restore and protect low slope and flat roofs including flat Sprayed Polyurethane Foam (SPF), Built-up (BUR), Single-ply (EPDM, PVC, TPO) and Metal roofing systems.
The high solid content of 80% provides a thick membrane that is flexible and resistant to animal fats, most chemicals, pollutants and discourages bird life damage. The high viscosity and high solid content make this elastomeric roof coating a great value for the cost. Every gallon of SureCoat leaves approximately 10.5 dry mils per gallon per square.
SureCoat is self-adhered and self-flashing creating a seamless waterproof membrane. SureCoat is a Super VOC compliant hybrid roof coating with only 1-gram of VOC per liter, making it an ideal choice for properties where smell and fumes are of concern such as school or hospital roofs.
SureCoat has one of the lowest published perm ratings for elastomeric roof coatings at .0025. The perm rating is the rate at which moisture passes through the roof coating. The lower the perm rating the more waterproof the roof coating is. The SCRS can withstand continuous immersion under water for up to 30 days when installed per specification and properly cured. We do not recommend that you use your roof as a swimming pool however; all flat and low-sloped roofs will pond water to some degree at some point. The SCRS was made to protect existing roofing materials from exposure to ponding water and UV radiation.
The highly reflective properties of SureCoat make the SCRS perfect under roof mount solar systems to increase energy capture and return on your investment. High grade Tio2 with Nano particles are used to produce higher reflectivity and better self-cleaning ability compared to traditional elastomeric roof coatings. The highest grades of raw materials are used including four proprietary modified acrylic and epoxy resins. This increases durability and adhesion compared to standard acrylic and silicone roof coatings. SureCoat exceeds FM standards for Class 1 fire resistance, windstorm and hail resistance and remains energy efficient as it weathers. SureCoat is Title 24 Compliant and is an Energy Star product.
